    I had occasion to eat at Smittys in Sussex on August 4th, I have a severe Fish allergy and asked the waitress if your fries were fried in the same oil as fish. She said yes and as a result I ordered a Chicken Parm sandwich thinking this would be safe for me and having no idea that the chicken was deep fried. Having taken a couple of bites of the sandwich, I began to feel very ill and my mouth began to swell, I then asked the waitress if the chicken was fried and she said yes it was fried in the same oil as fish. Thankfully I carry medication with me at all times and was able to avoid a full blown attack. however, I feel that she should have told me that as she was specifically asked about the fries she should have said the chicken was deepfried as well. I take full responsibility for my allergy, however, I do feel restaurants should be more careful about how food is prepared and staff should be able to tell an individual when asked that what they have ordered is also deep fried I was able to avoid a life threatening event but someone else may not be as lucky
